And, a Founder and a Fellow Member of both the Institute of Certified Management Accountants and the Institute of Certified Professional Managers of Sri Lanka. He holds an MBA of ICFAI University, India and has specialized in Human Resource Management.Sumith Ranwatta counts over 40 years’ experience at corporate managerial level and as a chartered accountant practitioner in his owned, Ranwatta & Co. for more than 30 years. He is the Founder Partner of Ranwatta & Co. He excels with strong academics and firm professional, ethical values. And is fascinated with the profession of accounting, taxation, and audit throughout his carrier. The subject of professional assurance services has been the game plan of his early stage and develop his practice by providing more and more value additions to its clients. His strength lies in maintaining integrity and delivering satisfactory results to clients. His mission is to transform the professional practice on a quality driven platform.
Having started his carrier as Financial and Management Accountant, Registered Auditor, Tax practitioner, and Registered Company Secretary. During the last decade he has obtained rich experience in almost every field of Industry and Commerce like Assurance Services, Corporate Finance, Business Transformations, Enterprise Risk Assessment, System Development, and Foreign Direct Investments activities. He handles all complex problems in above areas with equal ease, but his core competency lies in understanding the client’s requirement and providing value addition in management consultancy services for transformation of business and in setting up new industry / business. He has successfully completed the certificate course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Prevention conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
His current interests in addition to his professional practice include Training and Development in the HR field together with Self- learning process, Developing Virtual organizations, and Creating Wealth among his Individual Clients.
He is recognized as a visionary and a leading Chartered Accountant in the field of assurance service industry of Sri Lanka. He is known for his radical and at the same time philosophical views. In his own unique style, he combines technical professional subjects with his philosophy to give different and clear solutions to clients on their business matters.
He is a Member of Sri Lanka Institute of Directors, the organization of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka and a Justice of the Peace (All Island).
